San Diego County began revising its General Plan in 1998. There have been a few hiccups along the way. General Plan Update (GPU) is the current effort to revise General Plan. Completion of the proposed GPU is scheduled for the fall of 2010. It will be presented to the Board of Supervisors (BOS) for their approval and adoption. The BOS may choose to revise it before adopting it.
