Q: What the heck is GP2020?
A: “GP” stands for General Plan. GP2020 was an earlier attempt to revise San Diego County’s General Plan. The effort bogged down and appeared headed for failure. A new approach with new personnel began in 2007. GPU (General Plan Update) is the name of the current effort.

A: No. The EIR process only makes sure everyone knows the likely impact. It does not determine which alternative will be chosen.
