VC General Plan and Villages

April 16, 2010 - County Planning Commission will discuss and possibly decide the General Plan Update including Valley Center's land use and mobility maps. Planning Commission agendas are posted 1 week prior to meeting date.

Earlier this year, the County Planning Commission approved a tentative map that allows roughly 6,200 new homes (2/3 of what was originally planned and 40% fewer in the villages) throughout Valley Center's 100 square mile planning area. Of these, about 4,400 are planned on large lots (2-20 acres) away from the villages, 300 in existing Specific Plan Areas, and roughly 1,500 in the two villages.
